Lighting

 



This is my favorite picture throughout the process. The lego characters are placed as if one is trying to hurt the other. I love how the red lighting corresponds and increases the tension of the scene.

REFLECTION

  The original walk gave me the most information, and a strong base/ topic that I need to follow along. The walk did not give me a clear idea about what I am going to create or what material I would use; however, it set the main theme for my final creation, the soul of nature. I came up with this theme as I saw a mask hanging on a tall tree, as if it is the actual face of the tree. It reminds me of “Mother Nature”, who tends to have a kind, forgiving soul and holds the responsibility to protect nature. I was also inspired by “The Enchanted Rose” in “Beauty and the Beast”, and the creative perspective from an artist named Claude Monet towards nature. Lantern was not my first choice for my final result, I was originally going to create a small green landscape 3D art on a hard cardboard, representing what I saw in the backfield. Chefs & Fashionista

I think that the two chefs' inspirations are their experiences from traveling/ exploring nature and their passion as well. They travelled to different places and explore the nature, and the culture there, then bring their own experience, view, thoughts, and feelings to their dishes. In other words, I feel like the chefs want the customer to travel with them as they are eating.  I feel connected to Thom Browne as he is also inspired by the basic in life: SHAPES. He imagined the triangle, rectangle and circle as dresses and faces. From these basics shapes that everyone knows, he created such great clothes and styles, and I think he also encourages equality for both women and men as well.

The Dance of Freedom (Egg)

  For the first 3 stages, I roll my body around to a specific direction as if I'm trying to reach an end and fall down to the ground, so my shell can break. When the shell breaks, I slowly stand up, with my hands gently spread out as I escape my shell.
